  • Lover buoys, page 1. Marin is walking past Rynes' prison cell, calm and collected. Behind them, they hear “You know, this really is a unique prison.” Marin continues to walk. As they do, the man continues, “It’s really something to enjoy your wine to.” Marin lurches around, flabbergasted at how this man could get wine in a prison. As they turn, Rayne, the man behind bars, smiles over at them. He raises a glass of wine. Marin exclaims “Did you bribe another guard for that?!” as rayne swigs some more wine.

A romance where non-binary prison guard meets a bisexual pirate.

Marin is the black sheep of the family. Rather than wearing elegant dresses and adhering to the expectations placed upon them, they've been moonlighting as a prison guard in a desperate bid to be left alone.

But while they patrol the prison halls, instead of solitude, they find Rayne, a flirtatious and kindhearted pirate with secrets of his own.

As the two grow slowly closer, Marin starts to wonder how someone behind bars can be more free than they've ever felt, and faced with the choice to either follow their heart or succumb to the expectations of their family, Marin must find the courage to decide for themselves where they truly belong.
